Zoo

The Lucknow Zoo is one of the city’s most important public institutions serving as a space for education, conservation, and everyday civic life. Unlike heritage structures that look inward to history, this project demanded an outward focus: durability, public safety, animal welfare, and seamless movement of large numbers of visitors.
Our role in the development of the zoo involved executing built infrastructure that could withstand continuous public use while responding to functional, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The emphasis was on clarity of planning, robustness of construction, and long-term maintainability rather than architectural excess.
The project required careful coordination between multiple stakeholders, strict adherence to specifications, and execution within an active public environment. Materials and construction systems were selected for longevity, ease of maintenance, and performance under heavy footfall and varied climatic conditions.
